Rewilding in Lincoln Part III

I noticed how nice the gods are for making living things green and dead things brown. It's alot easier to find debris that way. Sorry if the photos are too dark. IÂ took them just before I left. Sooner or later I'll be sleeping in this. So far it's taken about six hours to build. Hopefully, I be able to pick up the pace with practice.

My wife and youngest went with me this time. I searched far and wide for loose bark on fallen trees. I developed a sense of thanks to the fallen trees for the offering of their bodies. I also realized that just because a tree may be "dead" it's still full of life -Â Beatles, termites, ants, spiders. Covered in moss and fungus. I noticed how I had become part of the decomposing process through separating the bark from the tree.

The reason I want to do this is because I beleive it will help me and my surrounding community if I know these things if disaster strikes. On April first, my friend Korey and I started to make a debris hut. Here are some pics taken the next day.
