First off, I want to apologize for taking so long to post my thoughts on the Southern Ish Convention. I try to take an "organic" approach when thinking, meaning I just let it grow and build on its own to a coherent thought structure. So it always takes me long when I choose not to react, but think. Anyway, here it goes.

Perhaps I'm ready. I'm not entirely certain, but at least I am ready to try...

Last week as we prepared to head down the Mississippi, Chicago to Carencro, I was bursting from the seams with excitement. On multiple levels: the simple opportunity to be away from work and home and all the day to day bullshit that we all encounter; the opportunity to meet new old friends; the opportunity to see and hang with old old friends; the chance to experience a new place, to feel it, breathe it, live it.

Any Room/1 night:$50.00+tax(roughly $55.00 total). We have to charge the tax, or the City of Carencro will have a fit. also, we don't care how many humans stuff themselves into the room. the large cabin, for example has a king, a couch and a futon. So if 4 humans wanted to all go in on the cabin, it would be $12.50 per human per night. there is room in every room for at least 1 (most rooms 2 or 3) cot, air mattress, etc.
