Into the Wild: The Movie

Just finished the book.
I read the book on the plane last weekend and could not put it down. I am looking forward to the movie! With all the reading that Chris "Alex" McCandless did, it's a shame that he never read any of Quinn's books. Maybe it would have influenced him differently.

movie review
Thanks to a Houston Ish group member, I was able to go to the sneak preview of "Into the Wild" last night with a friend.
"Into the Wild" is based on a book that is based on a true story of a very
passionate, intelligent young man who walks away from his family and society to
become a "supertramp". His dream is to go to Alaska and live in the wild and he
finally does it, but not without some tragedy. Enough said without spoilers!
If you have read the book, you will find that the story stays pretty close to
the book, but with a few exceptions.
One thing running through my mind as I read the book and watched the movie was:
"What if Alexander/Chris had read Quinn's books?" Would it have changed
anything?
Anyway, go see it!

death?
The trailer looks AWESOME! That's one I'll fork up the money to see in theaters. I wonder if he dies in the movie version?

of course he dies SO DON'T
of course he dies SO DON'T DO WHAT HE DID (unless your Sean Penn, that is...)

Book Before Movie
This may be the first movie I'm going to be seeing where I've read the book prior to seeing the movie.
